2. Using our website
- Accounts. You can order as a guest or create an account. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Product information. We describe products and show photos as accurately as we can. Colours and packaging may vary slightly from the images, and manufacturers may change specifications.
- Prices. All prices are in euro (€) and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Pricing errors. If a price is clearly wrong, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- Availability. Stock levels shown online are updated regularly but may occasionally be wrong. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you order, we will tell you and refund you in full.
3. Orders and payment
- When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging it. This is not yet acceptance.
- A contract is formed when we email you to confirm dispatch, or that your order is ready to collect.
- We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or a payment cannot be verified. If we do, we will refund any payment in full.
- Payment is taken at checkout by card through WooPayments (powered by Stripe), Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your full card details.
- Your order confirmation and these terms are emailed to you. Keep them for your records.
4. Delivery and click & collect
- Dispatch. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours of payment on working days (Monday to Friday).
- Delivery in Ireland. We deliver with An Post. A tracking number is available on request. Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days after dispatch, and always within 30 days unless we agree otherwise.
- Outside Ireland. Contact us before ordering and we will quote the most cost-effective option.
- Click & collect. Choose collection at checkout and we will email you when your order is ready. Collect from the shop at Main Street, Glenties during opening hours. Bring your order number; we may ask for ID matching the order name. Uncollected orders are held for 14 days, after which we will contact you and may cancel and refund the order.
- Risk and ownership. Goods are your responsibility once they are delivered to you or collected. Ownership passes to you when we receive full payment.
- Missing or damaged deliveries. Tell us within 7 days if your order arrives damaged or does not arrive, and we will replace it or refund you.
5. Changing your mind: 14-day cancellation
If you are a consumer buying online, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods (or collecting them). This applies to click & collect orders as well as deliveries.
- Tell us. Email shop@joestechhelp.ie or call +353 (0)85 730 3229 with your order number. A clear statement is enough; a cancellation form is available on request.
- Send the goods back to Main Street, Glenties, Co. Donegal, F94 PF67, or drop them into the shop, within 14 days of telling us.
- Return costs. You pay the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or we sent the wrong item.
- Refund. We refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of hearing from you. We may wait until we receive the goods back, or proof you sent them. Refunds go to your original payment method; store credit is only given if you ask for it.
- Condition. You may handle items as you would in a shop. If an item has been used beyond that, or parts and packaging are missing, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
Exceptions. The cancellation right does not apply to sealed in-ear earphones or other sealed items unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons once unsealed, or to sealed software or digital content once opened.
This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty (section 6).
6. Faulty goods and your legal rights
Everything we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. These rights come from the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and are not affected by anything in these terms.
- Within 30 days of delivery or collection, you can reject a faulty item for a full refund.
- After 30 days, we will repair or replace it. If that is not possible, or does not work, you can have a price reduction or a refund.
- A fault that appears within 12 months is presumed to have existed when you got the item, unless we can show otherwise.
- We pay the reasonable cost of returning faulty items to us.
- Manufacturer warranties on some products are extra to these rights, not instead of them.
These rights do not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or damage from repairs or modifications made by someone other than us.
To report a fault, contact us with your order number and a short description or photo of the problem.
7. Device repairs
- Quote first. We inspect your device and give you a price before any work starts. We will not go over the agreed price without your approval.
- No Fix – No Fee. If we cannot repair your device, you pay nothing for the attempt.
- Your data. Back up your device before handing it in where you can. Some repairs, such as board-level work or water damage, can result in data loss. Data recovery is a separate service.
- Passcodes and privacy. We only ask for a passcode if a repair needs testing that cannot be done without it. We do not browse, copy or keep your personal data.
- Parts. We use both original and high-quality compatible parts and will tell you which before starting. Compatible parts may trigger an “unknown part” message on some phones.
- Water resistance. Once a device has been opened, its original water and dust resistance cannot be guaranteed.
- Repair guarantee. Our repairs are guaranteed for 90 days on the parts we fitted and our workmanship. It does not cover new physical or liquid damage, or devices opened by someone else after our repair.
- Existing damage. We note visible damage when you hand in the device. Devices that are already damaged, bent or water-affected may fail during repair through no fault of ours; we will warn you of that risk first.
We carry out every repair with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2022 requires.
8. Liability, privacy and other terms
- Our liability. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- Privacy. We use your personal details only to process orders and repairs and to contact you about them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and use cookies.
- Complaints. Contact us first at shop@joestechhelp.ie or +353 (0)85 730 3229; we aim to reply within 5 working days. If we cannot resolve it, you can get advice from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or use the District Court small claims procedure.
- Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as courier disruption or severe weather. We will tell you and, if the delay is long, you can cancel for a full refund.
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order or book a repair applies to it.
- Law and courts. These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer laws.
